Centralising the League’s administrative functions to improve membership services was an important consideration when the Executive Committee researched its options on setting up a headquarters office in Brussels and an administrative office in the United States. The dual offices provide the ability to respond to members with a staff that speak multiple languages, was sensitive to cultural differences and was located in a politically neutral country.
