Achievements prior to
July 2003
The Commission of East Mediterranean Affairs (CEMA)
has conducted their inaugural meeting on 15 January 2004 in Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia. It was a very successful inauguration attended by
the presidents of EMR epilepsy chapters and future members of the
commission. Also, we are grateful to Giuliano Avanzini, ILAE President
and Cigdem Özkara, SIROTF Chairman, for their presence during
the meeting. This achievement would not be possible without the
support of the International League Against Epilepsy staff and
most especially Martin Brodie, Chair of Task Force Regional Commissions. The minutes of the meeting were published in the first CEMA newsletter
in Neurosciences journal.
