Summary Statement:
On the second year of existence of the Philippine League Against
Epilepsy, the activities mostly pertained to refining and amending
certain details of the constitution, formulating the mission and
vision of the organization, creation of working committees and obtaining
recognition from the mother organization, the International League
Against Epilepsy. Aside from these, the PLAE initiated interactive
sessions with its members in the form of case discussions and lectures.
A prototype of a lay symposium module created by the PLAE was tried
by its officers in the outpatient department of a big public hospital.
Finally, the interim set of officers ended their term, ushering
in a new set of officers elected through regular procedures, for
the years 2000-2001.
